Hi I need some info. I had my kindergartener enrolled in Connections Academy and I've decided to withdraw befor the end of the yr. I will notify the district of my intentions to homeschool him for the remainder of this yr. Will he need to be evaluated to complete this yr? Thanks, AMY

Hi Amy. Sorry for the delay in responding.
Connections Academy is a 'public' school correct? Then you would be required to do the evaluation one year from the date that you enroll your child in the homeschool program.
Each district has a superintendent or supervisor of the homeschool department. When you send in your letter of intention you should get some sort of response telling you the exact day your evaluation is due. You may also want to call the office and ask them to send you out a packet and ask them your specific question.
