This is one of the things that has made me almost 100 percent positive I am going to homeschool our daughter. She is three right now, but I'm convinced that most homeschooled kids fare better these days. A friend told me the other day that his son can't get his lunch anymore because some gangbanger kids in the lunchroom won't let some of the other kids into the line for food. Another friend told me her son has been complaining that he can't learn anything in most of his classes because the teachers are too busy dealing with unruly students and can't actually teach the class. I have zero interest in getting my beautiful, happy little girl involved in the world of public school.

Agreed. I don't regret the choice at all.
Too many horror stories coming out of schools, and too few good ones.
